What is Stellar?
Stellar, or Stellar Lumens, is an open sourced, distributed payments infrastructure. Their idea is to connect individuals, institutions, and payment systems through its multi-currency platform. A simple way to think about it would be a replacement and improvement upon PayPal. Stellar is also a like Ripple and presents competition in that space, however, Ripple is very much designed for institutions a banks, Stellar is designed for the average guy.
How Can You Buy Stellar?
Stellar has not yet been widely accepted enough to be listed on any of the major exchanges like Coinbase. You can still purchase Stellar as an Altcoin though via the other avenues listed below. Use your major cryptocurrencies to get Stellar.
