A friend of mine asked me recently when I was going to upgrade my machine again, he knows I always do and wants to buy my current one which means I can start with a new build. I spent a lot of time the other day researching the best bang for your buck vs performance, this is my current list as of October 2012 and I will update occasionally.

I am no expert so feedback and suggestions are welcome but when I look at performance vs price and what is available at my local online shops this is where I am currently at.
