Way to go. Â I took two straight losses today EU and got a big hit on NAS trade. Â Made the EU account money back on 2 CT EU trades. Â But my small amount SP / NAS account needs some rebuilding after today. Â Got in a hurry and forgot that nas entries are much bigger than SP.
Stupid

it's quite amazing how often i do exactly the wrong thing when managing a trade. close the winner and stick with the loser.
anyway i took a EU buy at US open today which went well, it got knocked to tp by the news though, so a bit of luck involved there. then i took the continuation for another 1 to 1, but panicked and closed it at BE.

it's counter trend, but at the exact right time for a counter trend trigger

funny how the ej is moving more then the eu, will have to check that one out too at the key trading times i can catch.
Â
l didnt do great today, lost 2x on the SP trying to trade the turn. seems i will never learn to stick to continuations on the sp500, if not for the nice eu buy at us open and this gold buy it be a losing day instead of BE. just a shame i didnt size up the gold position a bit 🙂

Man, you are loving the EJ.  Took  short on gold just punched out for a small gain.
Not trading FX until tomorrow after the FED BS is out. Â
Currently holding a small short position on the SP.  Entered yesterday before US market close. Basically putting some of my profits on the line hoping for a big move down in the next week.  Everyone is promoting a big rally to new highs after news released this afternoon.  So I am going opposite.
If it gets wiped out no big deal. Â
Just a little gambling fun!

Sold all of my options contracts today for a nice gain. Â Today's 300 point drop in the Dow was counter intuitive but went as I expected. Â A knee jerk rally when the Fed decision was announced followed by a 2 day 600 point drop. Â Traders are fed up with this central bank bullshit. Â Everything is so rosy that they can't even raise interest rates by a quarter of a point? Â That says much.
I view today 's selling as an investor vote of no confidence.
Central banks have backed themselves into a corner. There is no answer long term other than lower asset prices or massive inflation.  There is no precedent for this situation so all the speculation by the TV experts and economists is a waste of time.  Bottom line: there is too much debt and even a moderate lifting of rates will result in deleveraging.  Â
Wanted to hold my positions into Monday, but many of the contracts were out of the money and the decay is starting to devalue them too much.
There is a good chance Asia will tank big led by China and could spiral things early next week. Â However, if markets stabilize, I could see them moving to a lower high. Â Then I will look to get in at resistance for a big PUT to ride the wave of selling that should occur. Â
Stay tuned

you know i was thinking about your gambeling sell trade on the sp500, at first it looked like it was gonna challenge the old highs, but then the pattern confirmed it's self on the map and we had a very nice drop. i did manage a quick continuation on the way down.

Yes, listed the majors below. Â But be aware that a 1.0 lot trade value varies and is the smallest contract size you can trade. Â Learned this the hard way!
A 1.0 lot on the SP 500 is about the same as a 0.1 lot on the EU.
US500 = SP 500
US30 = Dow 30
US tech = Nasdaq
US2000 = Russel 2000
UK100 = FTSE
JP225 = Nikkei
DE30 = DAX
F40 = CAC40
