Nice work! Â As usual, the US SP 500 close was a big winner. Â And as usual, I wasn~t around to take the trade!

had a terrible day today. the one good trigger i took was a nas buy at us open, but like a fool i closed it early when it started looking weak, but it was only taking a break before it pushed on to my tp and beyond. some days its so easy, while days like today seem made to lose money. fresh start tomorrow.
Hey man, just keep your SL tight and shoot for at least 1-1. Â Also the Nasdaq seems to be the most volatile of the group. Try walking your SL on the Nas. Â Â If nothing else, just wait for the key market times and look for entries. Â stick to your SL. Â They will hit. Â Working on a probability calculator that may help some people.
Will release it soon.

Took an absolutely stupid short that cost me 8 pips on a Pre-market open trade. Â Everything said don't take it ...but took it anyway. Â But smartly punched out -8. Â
But after US news cleared took the EU long
Walking the SL up, so far so good.

i hear you on the eu buy, lpt can be a godsend, but can also cause a winning trade to break even. hard to decide some times.
Â
as for the SP500, i entered it on a purple pattern, so nice RR on that one. gonna try to stick to continuation trades on my indices/CFD's and only go counter trend on eu and gu when the brown has turned the price. no more oil trades for now as the potential losses can be too big for my present trade sizes. pity they don't do half or quorter contracts on oil, still gold, eu, gu and sp500 should be plenty of markets to find 1 or 2 nice trades per day.
Â
edited to add:
nice one Rob, what platform do you use for your call and put options? i assume you are talking about real options not the binary kind? can you explain more how they work?

I use TDameritrade.  No not binaries.  I trade SPY or DIA options from time to time.  Options allow you to trade large blocks of stock at a fraction of the price.  1 option = 100 shares.  So today i was able to essentially short 1,000 shares of DIA ETF or a value of $16200 worth of stock for a fraction of the price.  There are many factors to consider because these are timed investments and can expire worthless.  Decay, volume, expiry date, and leverage are all factors to consider.  The upside is massive and he downside is limited by the initial value.
There is a  learning curve with options.  CFDs are easier. Â

looking forward to that probability calculator Rob 🙂
i was just having a quick look at the charts and was wondering about this gold buy setting up, is it too early after that big drop to think of buying? or is it a classic set up if the brown triggers?

I will bet you that USA has already spoken to the Eurozone and Japan, telling them to juice things with another round of QE because if the USA does it, the Fed will lose face.
Â
Â
Well there it is.....
How much more stimulus can these guys generate out of thin air? Â Now countries are simply taking turns pumping money into the system. Who's turn is it to launch more QE? Â I guess Japan is up. Â
No matter what they will not let the "markets" fall. Â Not sure how it is actually a market if this is the case?

the ej has some nice long lasting trends some times, got amazing results back testing it before now.
Â
anyway, my eu trade above went to target and then turned around so that was close. glad i didnt go for too much.
Â
i also took 3 trades on the sp500 today, all continuation trades and all successful, the first one i opened on the sp500 i forgot to set the tp, so when i saw it had made a decent RR and was looking to pull back i just closed it manually when i got back to the keyboard.

nice work koeart, i didnt have much time to spend on the charts today, but i did set the lines for a small 1 to 1 buy on the eu just before US open. as you will see i could have gotten a lot more out of that entry if i had been able to stay at my charts, but yeah a win is a win...
